With the Westmorland Orchestra
7th December 2013

Picture
The Choir made a guest appearance at the Westmorland Orchestra's concert on 7th December, singing Toward the Unknown Region by Ralph Vaughan Williams.

Clive Walkley, in his review for the Westmorland Gazette, said: “. . . when Kendal South Choir joined the orchestra for a performance of Vaughan Williams’ Toward the Unknown Region, ably directed by Ian Thompson. The singers sounded confident, with the tenors in particular producing some lovely tone.”

The Choir very much enjoyed singing with such a large orchestra, and felt well prepared for the challenge.

(The remainder of the programme was Walton's coronation march Orb & Sceptre, Elgar's Wand of Youth Suite No 2, and Symphonie Fantastique by Berlioz.)
